Hooray for Sandy Claus!
I'm not gonna lie, I actually have this movie and will review for Christmas.
I'll bet they even wear those fake Andorian like antennas in the actual movie. *rolls eyes*
If there is, I give this one a definite "F".
Most of the acting is surprisingly pretty decent for something like this, all the actors seem to know they are in a stinker but boy do they seem to have fun with the roles given to them.
The primary reason why I think this one is so picked on is solely based on the matter that it was on MST3k.
Oh sure this really is a very ridiculous movie, hell the very title of this film should clue one in on what this is all about.
The story is as basic as it goes, some Martians go to Earth to kidnap Santa because kids on Mars are unhappy.
They kidnap two kids and soon kidnap Santa himself and take him to Mars.
In the movie we do have a villain named Voldar who keeps on wanting to kill Santa and the kids and as far as villains go he might be low on the list but every hero needs a villain.
I wont spoil the whole movie, its something that needs to be seen in order to be believed.
If there is one thing I personally can say in favor of this movie is that it feels like watching a kindergarten school play.
You know all the best effort in the world is being put in to everything you see, the budget is very low, some of the costumes and sets are so obviously cheap but you cant help but admire the movie despite all of its flaws.
This movie is public domain so its free to watch online, so sit back put on a funny hat with antennae on it and enjoy this cheesy, silly, very stupid but overall enjoyable holiday B movie classic.
